On September 13, 1924 several unusual artifacts of a mysterious nature were unearthed by Charles E. Manier when he found a riveted lead cross near Tucson, Arizona. One of the first crosses to be unearthed was bound together by rivets; and when each half was separated they revealed Latin and Hebrew inscriptions, but of an unknown style and form.
