On April 2nd 2013, an ancient Roman gold ring are putting on display at The Vyne, Hampshire (now owned by the National Trust). The ring, which was found in a field in Silchester, Hampshire in 1785, believed to have inspired JRR Tolkien to write "The Hobbit."
