On November 24, 1971 a man named D.B. Cooper who was wearing a suit and sunglasses, hijacked a Boeing 727 aircraft in the airspace between Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington. After getting on the plane, he ordered whisky and lit a cigarette before passing a flight attendant a note that read: 'I HAVE A BOMB IN MY BRIEFCASE...' Cooper then told the flight attendant to write down his demands
