The flying objects named ‘vimanas’ are described in detail. Apparently they came in different shapes, sizes and used several different flying techniques. Often they are referred to as “flying palaces of the Gods”. Some were designed to be used to fly between cities, some between planets. Some navigated over water, some even under water. In short, the technology known to man in those days was so advanced, that any transport over any distance was possible. Some vimanas are described as chariots, “fast as thought itself”. Some of them were known to “carry a thousand passengers in the air”.
