STRANGE ORANGE LIGHT IN THE SKY
(Pic by Andrew Searle)
This is a story of a possible UFO sighting which occurred in the South of England.
Two nights ago, a group of us set off from Bude and took a small trip to subways just outside Launceton. It must have been around 9.30 - 10.00pm. On our way home we came over a hill when we noticed a big ball of orange light, which was very close. We turned the radio off and drove slowly to try and get a good look, but it was too dark by this time. We had the windows wound down and I noticed there was no sound coming from whatever this light was. The only way I can describe it is...a bright orange sphere. It was far too low down to the ground to be an aeroplane or helicopter; also, at this distance you would've been able to hear the jets or propeller sound. As we drove closer towards it, the light seemed as if it was hovering and it was going too slowly to be flying. It carried on going over above us and towards the direction in which we'd just been driving from. As we passed underneath it and got a better look we were all debating about what we could see, as we looked closer the one bright light looked now like two at either end of the wings of an aeroplane. I watched it as we drove further away and never took my eyes off it once. (I knew it couldn’t be an aeroplane, it was flying too low and was making no sound - nothing like an aeroplane I’d ever seen before.) I noticed that the shape looked like it was changing to more of a spherical metallic ball. It looked as if it was travelling in a straight line, but I also saw it move up and down at times.
