STRANGE EXPERIENCE

Okay, so I had a very strange experience during my lovely weekend. It began with a nightmare about a reporter who was on a jet ski and talking to a sailor about local shark attacks. The place where she was interviewing the man was in part of the ocean and was surrounded by this kind of blow up wall. The water on the other side was very, very dark.

The reporter then made her way back to shore and as she does she loses control of her boat and her boat crosses over into the black water. That is when it gets weird. As she is steering her boat back out of the dark water and into clear water, I FELT ( no other word can describe it) whispers in my head “The Murker”, it was like 1,000 whispers all at once. I don’t know why but I was gripped with absolute terror. The image of the woman then disappeared and it was just darkness that seemed to move and slither.

I tried to wake up but it was like I couldn’t pull my mind out of the dream. It was terrifying.

When I eventually woke up, I sat in my room for a second then it got really, really cold. I could see my breath. I was terrified so I turned on my night light and got up to go to the bathroom. I got a glass of water and headed back to bed. Then I noticed a black shadow which appeared beside my bed and then it started to creep up my wall. It totally blocked out the light from my night light. As it crept up, it broke into pieces and began to look like small people and all this time in my head was the whispers: "the Murker". I moved my hand out to wake up my husband and it was like the darkness itself had a solidity.

I could barley move like I was in a big bowl of jello, is the only way I can describe it. I felt the air around me move and slither through my fingers. I freaked out and woke Greg (my hubby) up. He woke up and he instantly felt the cold ( he shivered several times and wrapped up in the blanket). He asked me what happened because of the cold and why I was very pale and in tears.

It took me a few minutes before I could speak. If I tried to tell him the word "Murker" it would just come out as mumbles like my mouth was being held. All I could do was just cry. Eventually the room started to warm and I was able to tell him what happened and I asked him if he knew what the word meant. I thought maybe that I just had a night terror because of something that was in his video game he was playing as I fell asleep.

So we looked up the word and it is an old English meaning; the darkness, the gloom, or the fog. I was like omg. I stayed up with the light on until the sun came up before I could go back to sleep. My hubby who is the biggest skeptic I know was freaked out and had no problem sleeping with the lights on.

This is the scariest and strangest experience I have ever been through. I don’t believe it was just a night terror because I was able to get up and get a glass of water and go to the bathroom before I noticed the shadow. Still to this day if I am trying to tell the story to someone I have a hard time remembering the word used. It is like I can remember what the reporter woman was wearing and the colour of the ski boat but when I get the word I cannot recall it. It takes me several minutes and I really have to focus on the word. I don't really ever feel comfortable saying it alot either. I get goose pimples and my heart starts to race.

Please help. If anyone knows more about what the word means or anyone had a similar experience please contact me.
