ANCIENT WORLD - The name Hyperborea is ancient Greek in origin and means “beyond the North Wind”. Hyperborea is a legendary place, even ancient Greek writers determined different locations for it. They did all say it was a paradise-like place, where the sun would shine 24 hours a day. It could not be reached by normal means of transportation.
