On 2008, thirty-three-foot-wide (ten-meter-wide) "Blue Stonehenge" was discovered just over a mile (1.6 kilometers) from the original Stonehenge near Salisbury, United Kingdom. The new archaeological find on the west bank of the river Avon has been called "Blue Stonehenge", after the colour of the 25 Welsh stones of which it was once made up.
